This beautiful staircase is a subtle change from our usual works, the use of glass and painted hardwood make this modern staircase attractive and hard-wearing in equal measures.
Spittlywood produced this staircase in our Hamstreet workshop and installed in Kennington, Ashford.
We used MDF For the treads and the main body of the staircase this readily available and extremely versatile wood is perfect for creating staircase, especially for those on a tighter budget.
MDF is consistent throughout which makes it easy to machine; this, in turn, enables the team to create detailed designs.
The strings of the staircase are made from the well-known hardwood tulip; this low-cost hardwood reacts particularly well to paint the painted finish you see here is created with spray paint in our factory in Hamstreet.
To give this staircase an ultra modern and high end feel we used these beautiful glass balustrades, which are 17.5ml thick toughened safety glass.
The team topped this design off with an oak handrail. Need some help with a bespoke staircase? Feel free to get in touch.
